Located in the beautiful area of Lenox MA, Merrywood Music School was a summer music school where students from around the country and some from other countries came to hone their craft, play chamber music with others, play in the orchestra and sing in the chorale.  Originally opened in 1958, Merrywood Music School served as one of the most popular places for children to come together, bond, learn and grow. There was also a mix of camp atmosphere with plays and outings. Merrywood closed in 1983 but still remains in the memories of so many and holds reunions quite often.
